BAGG*FiSH, an exceptional improvisational noise power duo, showcases the dynamic collaboration of Austrian feedback/sax player Michael Fischer and Argentinean/Dutch drummer Marc Baggiani.
Baggiani / Fischer met after a performance Michael Fischer did at the Theaterschool in Amsterdam in 2003, and they ended up performing together that very evening at OT301, one of the hot spots of Amsterdam's experimental music scene.

Yet shortly after this first meeting, it became clear to them they would collaborate extensively.

The duo's inaugural album, released by trytone in 2013, stands as a significant milestone in the global improv-noise scene. Renowned for their commitment to redefining the sonic possibilities of such a duo, BAGG*FiSH's music is enveloped in an experimental, risk-taking spirit, characterize by mischievous, driving rhythms, and poetic resonance.
Critics have lauded their work, with Eyal Hareuveni of All About Jazz noting, "...Spiritual, inventive, and flowing with nervous energy... no doubt that BAGG*FiSH has created their own, highly idiosyncratic sound universe. Fischer's charismatic and commanding tone on the sax, paired with Baggiani's driving, poly-rhythmic pulse, consistently pushes the boundaries to the edge."

Their eagerly anticipated second album, features Vinicius Cajado on double bass—a gifted Brazilian virtuoso dividing his time between New York, Berlin and Vienna (Prize winner of the International Society of Bassists' competition), who joined the duo amidst their last tour on stages such as ArtActs Festival in St Johann (A), Fluc in Vienna and Zajkert|Noice Garden Museum of Contemporary Arts in Debrecen (H)
While in Vienna, the trio was gently invited by Thomas Aichinger and Florian Widhalm to partake in a recording session at the renowned El Tren recording Studios. The culmination of this collaborative effort is the musical gem that we proudly unveil here—a new addition to TryTone's distinguished catalog, showcasing the trio's prowess in the realm of free improvisation.
